Position Purpose:

Under supervision, responsible for Direct and coordinate activities inside of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization and arranging shifts supervisors in ISBL, OSBL, making, packing, and filling sections.
Fulfilling the role of shift engineer, this role works closely with Production Lead and Quality Control Leader internal technical staff for productions, packing or filling and dispatch activities.
Shift Engineer will support operations by arranging staff, shifts, and checking daily raw materials
for the Biturox process unit and packing section also ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly
continuous production arranging spares warehouse and raw materials optimization (in cooperation with other concerned departments).

Position Accountabilities:

  • Supervise and adjust production operations, establishing priorities, and sequences for manufacturing products as instructed by immediate in charge.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Production in BBU.
  • Running a preventive Production program that will minimize service repairs in the long run.
  • Guide the area supervisors, field operators & DCS operators that how to handle the emergencies according to SOP during normal operation or in case of ESD and revise the SOP as per requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary components required for daily/weekly production are complete.
  • Manage effectively the manufacturing activities to ensure the quality of products as per desired specifications.
  • Manage the work procedures as needed for Quality, efficiency and flow of manufacture.
  • Review operational reports from other area supervisors and resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems to reduce costs and prevent delays.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance program (in co-operating with Maintenance staff) for all machinery to ensure operational and safety performance.
  • Review and analyze waste and scrap ratios to ensure acceptable quality products, consequently, try to reduction in the percentage of waste annually and perform other duties/tasks and assignments as assigned by production Leader.
  • Ensure that all necessary record of Unloading and loading area, Drums filling and other concerned areas is being maintained on daily, weekly & monthly basis.
  • Ensure that safe work rules and practices are understood, implemented, and consistently followed by the Production department employees and subcontractors.
  • Assist the staff to implement HSE procedures and processes to achieve an “Accident & Incident” free environment.
  • Ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly continues production arranging spares warehouse and raw materials optimization (in cooperation with other departments concerned).
  • Recording daily Production activity and report out daily and weekly to Production Leader including all supervisor’s daily report, packing section report, and filing reports.

Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
Experience

  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Refinery (Downstream Operation) also three years’ being in a similar role.
  • Previous operational leadership experience.
  • Experience in Bitumen Blowing Unit (BBU) as a production engineer.
  • Familiar with Biturox, Production, and Operation.
  • Previous success in leadership positions related to Poerner License Units is strongly desired.
